TM's scientifically proven health benefits

Hundreds of published research studies on the TM technique have documented its effectiveness on stress and anxiety, brain function, cardiovascular health and more

Remove the root cause of anxiety naturally

Regular practice of Transcendental Meditation gives a calmer, more peaceful state of mind.

146 independent studies show Transcendental Meditation is significantly more effective in reducing trait anxiety than other techniques.

Scientific research shows that TM has been proven to help with insomnia

The way to break the insomnia cycle is to give the whole physiology a dose of profound inner rest and stillness. TM is highly effective at producing a state of deep inner calm. Many people report an immediate improvement in their sleep quality after learning TM.

Improve your clarity of mind & creativity

TM is one of the most effective methods for time management. An orderly mind prioritises and does not suffer from time pressure, naturally enhancing creativity.

Effortlessly connect with your deepest inner creativity.

A major research study at American University found that TM creates alpha brain waves. The Mayo Clinic describes alpha brain waves as being associated with a "relaxed, happy, focused" state of mind.

That's why people who learn TM often say they're more focused, creative and productive in activity than ever before. Many of them previously tried other forms of meditation. The chart below illustrates a key difference between TM and other techniques.

Meditate for a healthier heart

Extensive scientific research has shown distinct benefits for cardiovascular health, including reduced high blood pressure and reduced risk of stroke.

Major reduction in heart attack & stroke

A five-year study on patients with coronary heart disease reported a 48% reduction in heart attack, stroke and death among those practicing Transcendental Meditation compared to other controls.

Larry Clarke learned TM in 1972 while teaching Economics at the University of New England. He became a Teacher of TM in 1976 after working on Research at Melbourne University, where he realised that the development of creativity and intelligence both individually and collectively through TM was a means for personal and community progress and prosperity. Larry has taught TM to more than 5000 people and teaches with a team of great teachers: Faye, Mustafa, Penny, Suzi, Michael & Joan.

What is
Transcendental Meditation?

Transcendental Meditation is a simple technique practised 20 minutes twice a day while sitting comfortably.

It is not a religion, philosophy, or lifestyle. Over ten million people of all ages, cultures and religions have learned TM.

"It is our birthright to be happy, to be alert..."

Hugh Jackman talks about TM

What happens when you meditate?

The TM technique allows your mind to easily settle inward, until you experience the most silent and peaceful level of your own awareness. It is completely different as it involves no concentrating or focusing, no trying to "empty the mind".

What people are saying about Transcendental Meditation

Jess

"TM blew everything away"

Jerry Seinfeld:

"It's like a charger for your mind and body"

Ray Dalio & Martin Scorcese

"It brought me a clarity"
"That 20 mins is a god send"

Videographer Neil

"Improved focus"

How is Transcendental Meditation different
from other meditations?

Compared to other meditations TM is different in three ways.

1. Absolutely effortless

  • No concentrating
  • No control of the mind
  • No mindfulness (monitoring of thoughts)
  • No trying to "empty the mind"
  • Anyone can do it, even children with ADHD

2. Proven effective

TM has been proven effective for stress and anxiety, clarity of mind, and more.

3. Teaching method:
  • Unlike other meditation methods, TM is taught one-on-one by instructors
  • TM teachers are certified and world experts in the field of TM
  • Delivery of training is personalised and individual
