What happens when you meditate?

The TM technique allows your mind to easily settle inward, until you experience the most silent and peaceful level of your own awareness. It is completely different as it involves no concentrating or focusing, no trying to "empty the mind".

  • TM is the only meditation practice that has been shown to reduce blood pressure…all other meditation techniques, including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction are not recommended in clinical practice to lower blood pressure.

How is Transcendental Meditation different
from other meditations?

Compared to other meditations TM is different in two ways.

1. Absolutely effortless

  • No concentrating
  • No control of the mind
  • No mindfulness (monitoring of thoughts)
  • No trying to "empty the mind"
  • Anyone can do it, even children with ADHD

2. Proven effective

TM has been proven effective for stress and anxiety, clarity of mind, and more.

Learning Transcendental Meditation in 1999 was life changing! I found TM so valuable over the years that I became an accredited teacher in 2014. As a teacher it so rewarding to see people benefit from TM right from the first few days of learning and the beautiful progress that unfolds for them over time!
I also volunteer as a Director of non-profit Transcendental Meditation for Women, and assist with this website tm.org.au.

TM Course

Saturday 29th December. One on One Instruction in the TM Technique. By appointment. Allow 1 hour.


Sunday 10.30am, Monday 10.30am and Tuesday (time to be decided with the group).

Group Sessions, for additional guidance and instruction on the TM technique based on your personal experience.

 Allow about 1.5 hours for each group session.
